The place to go after school. The Carleton Place & District Youth Centre provides free drop In hours for youth, ages 10-18, after school from 2:30 to 4:30. Featuring a recreation room, program room, and kitchen. Enjoy activities like pool, air hockey, ping pong, couches, video games, relaxing activities, youth games and more. We know how important mental health is for youth. We provide activities that encourage creative expression, help with stress management, and improve self-discovery and development. See monthly activity calendar for more details. Within Mental Health Mondays are free registered activities, or free/paid workshops.
No guitar, no problem! Come on down to learn guitar basics in an interactive group setting. Learn how to simplify your favourite song and jam along! Discuss music, song composition, tablature and more! Bring your own guitar if you’d like for a more interactive experience! For youth with zero or little experience with guitar. What a great way to start off the weekend! Come on in and enjoy a Friday night meal. Feel free to help us make it to earn volunteer hours or just to learn how to cook the meal. Usually, a side activity is also provided such as board games, trivia, puzzles, or bingo.

Join us for baking nights as we concoct healthy recipes like avocado brownies, cupcakes, apple crisp, carrot cake and so much more. Learn about kitchen safety, baking techniques and try something new! Recipes are available to take home to make again for friends and family.

No Judge Club recognizes, embraces, and celebrates our differences. We provide a safe and positive space for youth to support each other, talk about issues related to sexual orientation, bullying, racism, and gender identity and expression. We are all accepted at the youth centre. This free drop in program is offered to youth ages 10-18.
Intramural Sports club in the Carambeck Community Centre gym, form teams, sport of the day, and tournaments. Hockey, Basketball, Touch Football, Volleyball, etc. Indoor shoes required. Questions & Answers, a relaxing and positive space for: girl talk, nails, girl’s health, face masks, Karaoke etc. A variety of topics and favourite activities for girls. This free registered program is offered to youth girls ages 10-18.

Youth Centre provides a variety of Do-It-Yourself activities, crafts, and paint nights for youth to explore their creative side and to promote relaxation. See monthly activity calendar. Make bracelets, yarn crafts, cardboard creations, seasonal crafts, and paint to your heart's content. These may be free or require a small fee and is offered to youth ages 10-18.
We provide youth centre members with healthy snacks every day at no cost. We encourage healthy eating choices and life skills development.
We offer daily recreational programming to encourage our youth to be more physical active. We provide yoga, nature walks, hikes, outdoor sports and other opportunities to get active. Ages 10 to 18!
The possibilities are endless for youth and adults to volunteer with CP CORE Youth Services and Centre. We encourage volunteerism for our members and our community. Whether you need high school volunteer hours, a student placement, or just love to volunteer - we’ll find way that works for you. Assist with day to day operations, assist or lead a program, help us take care of the youth centre, teach skills or hobbies, be a mentor or help youth with homework, etc! Adults 18+ will require a police records check prior to volunteering. Email coordinator@cpyouthcentre.org if interested in volunteering!
Volunteering deserves a reward. We want to thank all of our volunteers from throughout the years for all they’ve done for our organization. As a way to give back to our youth volunteers we’ve created the points system where points are accumulated individually and can be spent on rewards such as: bonus computer time, revenge on a program staff, and canteen items. We recognize all volunteers and our most active ones through the Role Model of the Month and Year awards. Come see the various volunteer achievements to accomplish and what you can spend your points on at our youth centre today!

An hour each month. Provide input and share your voice for the youth centre’s programs, activities, and opportunities. Talk about issues facing youth today and how we can contribute to our community. Earn your volunteer hours for high school! Ages 10 to 18!
