The Carleton Place Youth Centre is a not-for-profit organization that provides a safe space for local youth to participate in activities, develop social and life skills, and most importantly, be their authentic selves in a judgement free environment.
What We Do
Programs
The Youth Centre runs fun, hands-on programs multiple times a week where youth can learn new skills while having a great time. Activities include cooking, crafting, sports, and much more!
Drop in
Our drop in sessions provide a safe place for youth to make friends, get homework help, play games, and grab a snack! From 2:30-5 on our regular nights, all youth are welcome to swing by and hang out. No sign up required!
Camps
We run various camps throughout the year including single day PA Day camps, as well as week long March break camps.

Program Supervisor
Job description:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Supervisor to lead and oversee the successful implementation of the Carleton Place Youth Centre programs. This role is vital in ensuring programs run smoothly, meet organizational goals, and positively impact the communities served. As a Program Supervisor, you will coordinate team activities, manage resources, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Working conditions:
Required to work 15-20 hours per week from September to end of June 2027. Some weekends required to accommodate activities such as meetings, public events, fundraising and other functions. Performs other related duties consistent with the duties outlined above.
Education and Experience:
Preference will be given to applicants currently enrolled or who have completed Community, Social Service, Child/Youth, or related discipline. Experience and qualifications may substitute for academic requirements.
Minimum 1 year experienced working in an enviroment with children and/or youth.
Work Location: In person
Pay: CA $18.00 per hour
Program Assistant
Job description:
Responsible for facilitating a variety of beneficial activity programming for children and youth ages 8 to 18 years during the school year, which includes, but is not limited to: recreation, culinary and creative arts, life skills, health, and wellness, outdoors and sports. The program and activities may take place indoors, outdoors, on location or a variety of locations. They must also supervise children, youth, and volunteers to ensure participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Working conditions:
Required to work 9-12hrs hours per week 4pm to 7pm on-site or more if needed. Weekends as required to accommodate activities such as public events, fundraising, special programs and any other outreach opportunities that may present for the benefit of the Youth Centre.
Education and Experience:
- High School or enrolled in post-secondary education.
- Working towards College or University education in a related field is ideal.
- Previous work or volunteer experience with children and youth ages 8 to 18 would be considered an asset.
Work Location: In person
Pay: CA$17.60 per hour
