L.I.T. Program

This summer, we’re offering two Leaders in Training (LIT) Programs, one in July and the other in August. Sessions take place every Monday from noon to 4 pm, spanning four weeks each. Each program concludes with a final group project, where the Leaders in Training organize and execute a fundraiser for the Youth Centre.

What is the L.I.T. Program? CPYC’s LIT program seeks to boost self-esteem and confidence where participants will acquire vital life and leadership skills. They’ll gain insights into leadership qualities, effective programming, and the essence of leadership itself. This program will not only enhance their overall well-being but also foster mental balance.

Summer Camp Info
CPYouth Centre Theme Camps! (Ages 8-12 Yrs)

Camp for children/youth ages 8-12, participants will enjoy a variety of fun and creative sports, games, and crafts. Every week of camp has a different theme. Please note camp activity programming is subject to change. We will try to do what we have planned, but in the end we will provide your child(ren) with a safe, enjoyable, and memorable summer camp experience!

July 2nd to August 30th, 2024
AGES: 8-12

Children must be between the ages of 8-12. They are allowed to participate if they turn 8 during the week of camp. Ages affect Summer Camp Staff to Child Ratios for camp, day trips, and pool or waterfront swimming, so it is important we keep them consistent. Once 13, campers become too old for our Theme Camp programming, and we recommend they enroll in a Leadership Camp or apply to be a High School Student Volunteer. Please check with your school to see if they allow students to get hours the Summer before Grade 9. Space is limited for High School Volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the Summer Camp Coordinator at:

Pre-Care Drop Off: 8 to 9 AM
Post-Care Pick Up: 4 to 5 PM
Structured Activities: 9 AM to 4 PM

CAMP COSTS $45 PER day + additional fee, paid at later date, of UP to $22.50 for special opportunity days (dates and times to be determined) WHICH MAY INCLUDE: A TRIP, A SPECIAL GUEST, OR SPECIAL ONSITE ACTIVITY. Every week includes snacks, lunches and structured theme activities! All funds go towards cost recovery for paying staff, supplies, food, and trip related expenses like trips and bussing costs. CPYouth Centre is a not for profit, charity organization.
