L.I.T: CHRISTMAS EDITION REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Program Description: Program focuses on having fun while providing participants with knowledge, skills, resources and tools to be a prepared, responsible and engaging leader for future roles. Leaders will learn about the fundamentals of fundraising, be in charge of preparing a Christmas parade float for out youth centre, and assign themselves and other participants responsibilities that will ensure the float and parade success. The Carleton Place Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, November 25th, to which to the leaders will be expected to attend. The program was designed by our coordinator, who is a child and youth care worker. Our coordinator will be running this program and be the main supervisor and instructor to our leaders.

AGES: 12-17
Program Hours: 3:00pm-5:00pm (Participants are welcome to arrive earlier and stay later to volunteer or participate in other youth centre programming)

L.I.T (LEADERS IN TRAINING) PROGRAM. A PROGRAM DESIGNED AND LED BY OUR COORDINATOR

This program is designed by our program coordinator who has a background in Child and Youth Care. With a passion for mental health and over-all well being, she has designed this program to teach the basic and advanced principles of leadership. This program teaches youth how to be a role model, how to emphasize self-care, the importance of integrity and inclusivity, how to create and implement programs, how to host fundraisers, and more. This program provides young people with life and workplace skills that will help them resolve life challenges and conflicts.
