Programs & Services

Youth Services Programs are the nucleus that draw youth to the Centre voluntarily.  Through their participation in activities, our youth become aware of options available to them for support, education and training.  All programs, activities and services are funneled through 5 main program areas.  Each of these areas engage youth in various programs and activities geared to arm our young people with knowledge, experience, skills and support that will build their personal skills and increase their resiliency in order to have a successful future.  The following is a brief outline of each program area:

Physical Activity, Health & Safety - Sports & Recreational activities, Fitness Programs, Life Skills and Wellness training, KIDZ In The Kitchen, Personal Safety and Empowerment, Nutrition & Meal Program, COREYouth Summer Day Camp Program

Leadership & Volunteering - Leadership training, Girls Club, Guys Club, Youth Leadership Committee, Community Volunteers Program

Social Development - Movie night, games; dances, chat nights, workshops

Career & Skills Development - Independent Living Skills Building Workshops,  Skills Link - Youth Employment Skills Development Program, basic computer training, Employment Resources Centre, Scholastic Enrichment Support, Job & Volunteer Opportunities Postings, Peer-to-Peer Support Program, Tutoring

Community, Youth Justice, & Crisis Referral Services for Youth - Community Outreach, Housing & Homelessness Support Program, Court Support Program, Crisis Support, Advocacy Services, Diversion Program for Youth-at-Risk, Community Services Order Program, and Referrals to local youth serving agencies
